The Dream Builders Project is a strong advocate for human rights – believing that it is every person and child’s basic right to have safety, freedom, shelter, food, and medical care.
Since its founding in 2013, The DBP has fought to end child abuse and neglect. The very first A Brighter Future for Children charity gala, hosted in 2013, benefited The Audrey Hepburn CARES Center at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. The CARES Center provides comprehensive medical and psychiatric care for children who have been affected by abuse and neglect.
After its immense success, A Brighter Future for Children became a DBP staple and a recurring annual charity gala benefiting The Audrey Hepburn CARES Center at CHLA.
March 3rd, 2016 marked the 3rd annual BFFC charity gala, where $20,000 was raised for The CARES Center.
On Thursday, April 28th, 2016 ,The Dream Builders Project visited Children’s Hospital Los Angeles and ran a booth in the main hospital lobby in support of Child Abuse Prevention Month. In addition to raising awareness on child abuse prevention, the DBP met with The Audrey Hepburn CARES Center staff and gave them a gift of a $20,000 donation along with a custom portrait of Audrey Hepburn, painted by artist Jon Moody.
